MomentCatch Privacy Policy
Overview
MomentCatch is a camera application that temporarily buffers recent video on your device so you can save a moment after it occurs.
Camera Access
MomentCatch requires access to the device camera to display a preview and record temporary video segments while you have intentionally started a watching session.
Microphone Access
Microphone access is optional. If you enable audio, MomentCatch records audio with video. If you decline microphone permission, you can continue recording silent video.
Temporary Footage
Unsaved rolling-buffer footage is stored temporarily on your device and is automatically deleted as newer temporary footage replaces it or when the app clears the session cache. The first release does not upload temporary footage to a remote server.
Saved Clips
When you press Save Moment, the selected clip is saved locally to the device gallery through Android MediaStore. You can manage, share, rename, or delete saved clips using the app or your device gallery.
Data Collection
The initial local-only release is designed not to create user accounts, upload videos, display advertisements, or use third-party analytics SDKs. This policy must be updated if the application later adds any data collection or sharing.
Data Retention and Deletion
Unsaved temporary footage is deleted automatically. Saved clips remain on your device until you delete them.
Children
MomentCatch is a general-audience camera utility and is not directed to children. Adults are responsible for obtaining any consent required before recording or sharing other people.
Changes
If privacy practices change, this policy and the Google Play Data Safety disclosure will be updated before publishing an app update.
